Flow blue semi-porcelain tureen with matching ladle in the "Touraine" pattern.
Produced by Henry Alcock & Co., a Staffordshire pottery active from 1861 to 1910, this example showcases the rich cobalt wash and blurred floral transfers that defined the flow blue aesthetic. The scalloped tureen body rests on a molded pedestal base with twin scroll handles, while the domed lid features an ornate finial and cut-out for the ladle. Gilt accents trace the rim and handles, lending an added layer of refinement. The ladle mirrors the set with matching flow blue decoration along the bowl and stem. Stamped beneath with the Alcock shield crest and "Touraine" mark, this service piece embodies the late-Victorian balance of function and decorative flourish.
