This collection includes twelve vintage embroidered textile runners, each uniquely decorated with colorful threadwork on white or ivory linen and cotton grounds. Designs range from florals and baskets to figural and animal motifs, many bordered with crocheted or scalloped lace edges. Highlights include: A pair of dancers in bright orange dresses, bordered with lace trim. Large pastel blue flowers with green stems. A woven basket overflowing with blossoms in blue and yellow thread. A charming deer and fawn scene worked in cross-stitch. Several pieces featuring yellow, pink, and multicolored florals. A figure of a girl in a sun hat surrounded by flowers. Each runner shows hand embroidery characteristic of early to mid-20th century domestic textiles, blending decorative and functional use.
Some minor age discoloration and light fraying consistent with age and use.
