This piece advertises Sterling Beer and uses the 1964 Indianapolis 500 as a backdrop. The self-framed border features faux brass-inspired lettering across the top and on the lower plaque and was likely meant to to imitate wood grain, but has been damaged by sun exposure. The central image shows the winner, A . J. Foyt, leading the pack at the end of race with the cars beginning to pull off onto the track’s shoulder.
Exhibits moderate signs of wear including heavy rips/tears, discoloration, and water stains.
