Lot 602:
Description
C-18272
Group of two finely crafted cobbler’s tools including a wooden men’s shoe last and an adjustable boot stretcher. The shoe form is carved from hardwood with smooth contours and small sizing holes at the toe, while the boot stretcher features a turned wood handle with brass hardware and a two-piece expanding mechanism. Both pieces display the warm patina and tactile wear characteristic of well-used early 20th-century shoemaking and maintenance tools. Such tools were common fixtures in cobbler shops and gentlemen’s closets, designed to preserve shape and fit while maintaining the quality of leather footwear.
Light surface wear and minor scuffs from age and use; stretcher mechanism moves freely.
Boot stretcher: 19.25" L
