This is an original early 20th-century celluloid advertising pinback button for "Tuxedo Low Pressure Vacuum Cup Cord Tires, " featuring the slogan "Cost More – Worth More" and an illustrated tread design. The back paper is clearly marked "The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Buttons, Badges, Novelties, Newark, N.J., " a renowned maker of advertising buttons of the era. This piece is a classic example of automotive promotional giveaways from the 1910s-1920s.
Displays moderate age-related discoloration, cracking, surface scratching, and oxidation on the metal reverse consistent with age.
