Pair of Victorian-era ceramic table pieces including a red transferware teapot from the Staffordshire potteries and a brown transfer-decorated ironstone waste bowl marked by J. Clementson. The teapot features a rounded body with scalloped rim, molded foot, and loop finial lid, decorated with romantic architectural landscapes in deep red transfer print surrounded by ornate border bands. The scenes depict classical garden structures and landscape elements typical of mid-19th century Staffordshire tableware patterns.
Accompanying it is a hexagonal ironstone waste bowl bearing the impressed and printed mark of J. Clementson, a Staffordshire manufacturer active in the mid-19th century known for producing durable ironstone china for both domestic and export markets. Both pieces show visible signs of age and use. The ironstone bowl has a crack on one of the side handles, with evidence of an older repair visible on the top portion of the handle. The red transferware teapot displays hairline cracks along the body, a crack at the base of the handle, and a small chip on the spout. Surface wear and minor staining consistent with age are present throughout.
