Description

C-19547

Handmade folk art toy airplane constructed from sheet metal and scrap components, finished in worn red paint with visible hand-cut and riveted construction. The fuselage features a rounded nose with cut vent openings, a simple propeller mount, and a small open cockpit with a bent metal windscreen and control elements. The wings and tail assembly appear to have originally been attached by simple metal posts and wire fasteners, with several sections now detached but included with the piece. A length of rope tied through the body suggests it may have originally been used as a pull toy or suspended display.

Shows heavy age-related wear including extensive paint loss, oxidation, bends, and detached components as shown. Wings and tail sections are loose and the fuselage shows repairs and taped areas. Surface rust and handling wear are present throughout.
