Description
C-19398
c. 1930s/1940s; National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) – New York, N.Y.
Colorful cylindrical lithographed tin advertising “ACEs – Delightful Bridge Cookies” by the National Biscuit Company, branded “Uneeda Bakers.” The maroon ground is accented with oversized playing card suit graphics—spade, diamond, club, and heart—encircling bold yellow “ACES” lettering. Lid features the classic NBC cross and oval trademark above “Uneeda.” One-pound net weight noted along the lower panel. Rolled-edge lid and base with friction-fit construction typical of early Nabisco packaging.
Shows surface wear throughout including scattered paint loss, edge rust and oxidation along the lid rim, scratching, and areas of litho fading. Graphics remain legible with strong overall color despite wear. Lid fits snugly.
