Folding Victorian tri-fold vanity mirror housed in a quarter-sawn oak case with mitered corners and brass hinges. The exterior front panel features a glass-covered decorative insert displaying richly colored butterflies on a dark ground, while the reverse panel presents an embossed scrolling foliate design beneath glass. Opening to reveal three interior mirrors framed in ornate molded surrounds with applied decorative composition trim, the piece creates a panoramic dressing view when fully extended. Turned finials line the top edge, and original brass hardware including side hinges and front clasp remain intact.
Shows age-appropriate wear including finish loss, surface scratches, and minor chipping to decorative composition trim around the interior mirrors. Silvering loss and light spotting visible to mirror plates. Butterfly panel and embossed insert remain intact beneath glass. Hinges function smoothly; clasp present. Sold as found.
