A striking flow blue oil lamp in the "Watteau" pattern by Doulton, c. 1890s. The pedestal base and baluster body are richly decorated with pastoral scenes, framed by cobalt scrollwork and floral detail. Twin handles rise from the shoulders, adding balance to the classical urn form. The lamp is fitted with its original brass burner and a frosted globe shade etched with a foliate pattern, lending a soft diffusion of light. A fine example where practical lighting meets decorative art pottery, showing the quality and depth of Doulton’s flow blue production.
Shade and chimney are not original to lamp. Brass shows tarnish/oxidation.
