Set of ten flow blue luncheon plates with floral decoration.
These six semi-porcelain luncheon plates by Henry Alcock feature scalloped rims bordered in deep cobalt, accented with gilt remnants. Each plate is decorated with blurred floral transfers, softened into the white body through the flow blue process. Luncheon plates of this smaller size offered versatility in the Victorian table service, suitable for lighter meals, tea service, or desserts. Together, the set demonstrates the charm of Staffordshire flow blue ware-where function and ornament meet in balanced harmony.
