c. 1890s-1910s; Henry Alcock & Co. – Cobridge, Staffordshire, England
Set of eight flow blue rimmed soup bowls in the "Touraine" pattern.
These semi-porcelain bowls from Henry Alcock & Co. bear the signature floral transfers of the "Touraine" line, blurred into the body by the flow blue process. Each is formed with scalloped rims, cobalt borders, and delicate gilt traces, with the decoration ranging from floral sprays to urn motifs. Designed with wide rims and gently sloped centers, the set reflects the balance of utility and elegance that characterized Staffordshire dining wares at the turn of the century. Stamped beneath with the Alcock shield crest and "Touraine" mark.
Small chips and one piece exhibits a small hairline.
