c. 1890s-1910s; Henry Alcock & Co. – Cobridge, Staffordshire, England

Set of six flow blue bone dishes in the "Touraine" pattern.

These crescent-shaped semi-porcelain dishes were designed to rest beside dinner plates, providing a place for fish or meat bones during service. Each is decorated with the blurred cobalt transfers of Alcock’s "Touraine" pattern, softened by the flow blue technique. Scalloped rims and cobalt borders frame the floral sprays, with traces of gilt lending an added layer of refinement. Bearing the Alcock shield crest beneath, the set reflects both the utility and decorative richness of Staffordshire dining wares at the turn of the century.

Fleabite on a couple pieces and an "in the making" chip on another piece.
