This ornate vaporizer lamp features a cast iron base with scrollwork and a glass oil reservoir embossed "Cresolene." Above sits a shallow dish designed for heating medicinal solutions over the flame. Patented in the late 19th century, these lamps were marketed for household inhalation therapies.
Patina present on the cast metal parts, but no breaks.
