This piece advertises and announces the 11th annual Valvoline Detroit Grand Prix. The poster was designed by Detroit industrial artist Stephen Magsig and another artist by the name of "Troszak". The backdrop features the Detroit skyline with Formula 1 racers racing by in the foreground. The poster was designed to evoke the retro-futurism of the 1930s-1950s by representing Detroit as a shining metropolis, unfortunately a far-cry from where the city was actually at in 1990.
Exhibits minor signs of wear including boxed corners and edges.
