This is the earliest known example of the DeKalb "De Kalb" Flying Ear corn logo, tracing its roots back to when the town was first named after Johann de Kalb. In later more widely seen examples, the text is together, red in color with a more bold and uniform look to the ear of corn. As one of the most widely recognized agricultural logos in the world, this sign is highly sought after. This sign came to our DeKalb shop from a private collection in the city. This sign measures 24" x 12" and is made of masonite. ?
