*2-Day* Fresh Barn Finds & Country Estate Auction (Day 2/2)
Lot 500:
Description
C-21326
Lot consists of severn self-piercing oil can spouts, often referred to as "can tappers" or "can spouts". Three retain the rubber sealing block and one retains original blue color. Manufacturers marks are on four of the spouts positively identifying them as made by Plews, Huffman (the "Canspout") and Lawson ("Can Cutter"). These types of spouts were used from the 1930s through the late 1970s.
The spouts exhibit wear consistent with age and use including scratches, oxidation, finish loss, and scattered corrosion. One example retains remnants of its original blue paint. The mechanisms were not tested and may require cleaning or adjustment.
Each approx.: 8" L x 2" W x 2.25" H
