Wall-mounted fire grenade extinguisher consisting of a spherical glass reservoir filled with fire suppressant liquid and housed in a red molded holder with mounting flange. The original label remains affixed and reads “Red Comet Fire Extinguisher, ” with instructions directing the user to throw the grenade near or above a fire to disperse the extinguishing liquid. Produced c. 1940s–1960s by Red Comet Fire Extinguisher Co.
