c. 1930s–1940s; Kelowna Growers’ Exchange – Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada Wooden fruit shipping crate with original red lithographed “Canadian Apples” label affixed to one side, featuring bold typography and stylized graphic imagery associated with British Columbia export fruit packing. Marked “Packed and Shipped By Kelowna Growers’ Exchange, Kelowna, B.C., Canada, ” with additional “Extra Fancy” grading text and grower information partially visible beneath wear. Constructed of slatted softwood boards with nailed joinery and ventilated underside.
Retains strong surface character from use and storage, with heavily worn and fragmented paper label, scattered losses, edge wear, and age-related discoloration throughout. Structurally intact with expected wear from produce handling and transport.
