Cylindrical ribbed body with screw-top lid, chain-retained cap assembly, and embossed markings reading “Capacity 5 Liquid Gallons.” Lid marked “Columbian Steel Tank Co. Screw Top Lube Oil Can Kansas City U.S.A.” Produced by the Columbian Steel Tank Co. – Kansas City, MO, c. 1930s–1940s.
Handle is broken. Surface wear, oxidation, scratches, scattered dents, and age-related finish loss throughout.
