1970 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Convertible finished in light blue with a white leather interior and white convertible top. Powered by Cadillac’s legendary 500 cubic-inch V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission and equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, and numerous other factory luxury features. According to the consignor, the car ran when it was parked inside a steel building with concrete floors approximately 50 years ago and has remained stored since. It is believed to be a two-owner automobile and is described as 100% complete, retaining its original hubcaps, fender skirts, trim, and major components. The vehicle is accompanied by a clear title and two sets of keys.
Vehicle presents as a complete restoration candidate showing prolonged indoor storage and age-related deterioration throughout. Paint exhibits oxidation, scratches, chips, fading, and scattered surface rust, with heavier corrosion and perforation visible along the rocker panels, lower quarter panels, wheel openings, and lower body seams. Chrome and brightwork display oxidation, staining, and light pitting. Windshield is heavily cracked with a large impact point and will require replacement. Convertible top remains intact but shows heavy discoloration, staining, and age-related wear. Interior remains substantially complete with wear, soiling, discoloration, and age-related deterioration to the leather upholstery, carpeting, dashboard, steering wheel, and trim. Consignor states the vehicle ran when parked approximately 50 years ago but has not been operated since; mechanical condition is unknown and the vehicle should be considered non-running pending complete inspection and recommissioning.
