Clear glass utility oil bottle fitted with a threaded metal collar and tapered steel pouring spout. The cylindrical jar form features rounded shoulders and a wide mouth, adapted with a screw-on metal lid assembly that secures the elongated spout in place. A small vent opening near the upper portion of the spout allows for smoother, controlled flow-typical of garage, workshop, or farm lubrication use. The glass body provides visible fluid level monitoring, while the long narrow spout was designed to reach into tight mechanical spaces. The combination of a repurposed jar-style reservoir and purpose-built metal spout reflects practical early 20th century shop ingenuity. These were commonly used for oiling machinery, bicycles, small engines, and agricultural equipment-straightforward, durable, and easy to refill. The exposed metal components have developed a natural aged patina consistent with working use.
Light surface wear present throughout, including minor scuffs to the glass and age-related oxidation to the metal spout and collar. Structurally sound and displays well.
