1938; Capper Farm Papers – Topeka, KS Matched pair of original Capper’s Farmer magazine covers, each professionally framed and dating to 1938. The first example is Vol. 49, No. 5 (May 1938), featuring a sentimental illustrated scene of a young boy tending a small grave marked "Biff was run over – he was the sweetest dog, " a quietly emotional piece emblematic of Depression-era rural storytelling. The second is Vol. 49, No. 9 (September 1938), depicting a pastoral autumn landscape with rolling farmland, barns, grazing cattle, and warm seasonal tones.
