C-18860

c. 1930s; Harcourt, Brace & Company – New York, New York Early American omnibus edition containing Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Comes Back by P. L. Travers, bound together in a single cloth volume. The book features the original illustrated endpapers and interior line drawings characteristic of early Mary Poppins editions, presenting Travers’ whimsical yet sharply observed stories of the magical nanny and the Banks family. The tan cloth boards retain the original stamped title and decorative motifs, with a pictorial illustration on the rear cover. First published in the 1930s, the Mary Poppins books became enduring classics of children’s literature, blending fantasy, humor, and social observation, and establishing one of the most recognizable characters of the 20th century.

Cloth boards show surface wear, fading, and edge softening, with rubbing at corners and spine ends. Pages show age toning and light handling wear; binding remains intact. Illustrations are present and clear.
